    haha lies

  • Guitaregirl19 @ November 22, 2009

price doesn’t always matter. I cant afford a great guitar, my best is a Dean. I have a couple gibson’s and A fender acoustic- electric, but the dean sounds the best and its my cheapest.. You can add things to a cheap guitar and make it sound just as good. Changing the neck would probably be the easiest way :) .

  • xrunepk3rzx @ November 22, 2009

Yeah, people fuss about their gear too much. Most non-guitarists couldn’t hear the difference between a $80 guitar and a $1000+ one.

  • Guitaregirl19 @ November 22, 2009

It doesn’t matter what type of guitar you have. My papa could play the meanest guitar on a cheap ass guitar he bought in the 60s. Get your action looked at. Anywhere that sells instruments should fix it for you, also change the gauge of strings you use, for instance, if you are using Heavy strings as a beginner than you should change to light or medium. Ive been playing quite a while and i use Elixir double treated Mediums, its all in how you like them. Light gaged strings are easier to fret.

  • yeahitsk @ November 22, 2009

Do you need to develop good calluses on your fingers to play this or what? I have to push super hard on the strings to get these notes to ring out once I get the little grooves in the fingertips. My guitar is a cheapo 100 dollar acoustic- do higher quality instruments require less pressure on the thinner strings?

  • washburnplayer3 @ November 22, 2009

Again I thank you for being so dam helpful for beginners such as myself! SLAINTE (cheers)
