.. i play the violin the right handed way, but what ive come to realize is that my right arm hurts real bad when i do the bowing.. so do you think there might be such problems while playing the guitar the right hand way? please let me knw what you think.. coz i am totally confused…

hey! ive got a question for you! i’m a lefty too and i want to learn how to play the guitar, planning on buying an electric one soon.. but i am not sure if i should just get the right handed one coz there arent much resources for left handed self learners.. so my question is does the handed-ness matter when playing the guitar? i mean, at the end of the day, both hands will have to put in almost equal amount of work right?

so say im left handed, and owned a left handed electric….where would i find a beginner video like this where it’s flipped? Is there anything out there that exist for left handers?? Or are we crap out of luck….thanks!!

  • ilubmateo1 @ November 22, 2009

Dm is or D minor is played like this put ur index finger in the first fret of the first string in other words on E ur middle finger on the third string in other words G and your ring finger goes on the second string or the B string on the third fret and thats D minor

  • hamood1225 @ November 22, 2009

    how can i play D minor ?

  • ilubmateo1 @ November 22, 2009

well the minor tone sounds a little more deep than the mayor tone the difference is little but its useful for doing different songs

  • hamood1225 @ November 22, 2009

what is minor sound and mayor tone?
    im a beginer

  • superhollowfox @ November 22, 2009

can u answer this are there more than oone way to play a chord becuz i have a chord chart and online and other books it shows a different way?

  • ilubmateo1 @ November 22, 2009

yes you do but so it can sound a little better try to strum the corrsponding strings al though it will sound almos the same

  • ilubmateo1 @ November 22, 2009

Dm is the d chord but itsthe minor sound when its D alone it will be the mayor tone

  • Jiggs224u @ November 22, 2009

as for disneylover, it was one of the things i noticed too was it doesn’t say what strings to play. Like the D for example, you only play 4 strings. Would be nice if they had a 0 by the open ones and a x where they aren’t supposed to be played, but awesome vid. It actually shows the chords, and if you need more details on exact strings just google that exact chord.

  • hamood1225 @ November 22, 2009

    what is Dm?

  • NicoleGoodchap @ November 22, 2009

thaanks. :) but when you play a chord, do you pluck all of the strings? and im not sure if my guitar is in good tune. help? :L

  • solidsnakemanful @ November 22, 2009

how do i know when my guitar is in good tune?!

  • kyalafishingal @ November 22, 2009

Great for practicing the individual chord positions. Works for me. Good advice Dimon1992

  • Dimon1992 @ November 22, 2009

From my own experience, always try to challenge yourself. my main goal was to be able to play Wake me up when September end by Green Day. after ALOT of practices I was able to. For beginners: NEVER give up!!! always try to learn something new and practice, practice practice!!!! the more you try, the better you will be! Good luck!

  • rikoxasora @ November 22, 2009
